Healing after a breakup


So I was actually surprised that this topic won over my updated skincare routine,  what was even crazier is that men where mainly the ones who upvoted for this blog. Anyway, I’ll keep it to the point. So let’s go!

Obviously, I’m not here to diagnose you with a broken heart or give you a cure that frankly doesn’t exist.  I strongly believe that healing is a process filled with setbacks, and accomplishments. How many of us girls don’t go back to the same man that broke our heart? lol We just have to know for sure, right? How many men get cheated on and forever turn into assholes? I’m sure we all have been there by now. The underlying reason we turn apathetic, unable to trust and selfish in love is that of the underlying. Pain. These are our protective mechanisms as human beings.

Therefore, I believe the question should be, “How do we heal from “pain.”  and the answer is quite simple. Let time do its job.

I can tell you from experience that the mind heals, our body heals, and ultimately we move on and really don’t give a damn about the person who caused us pain.

Heres a list of things you can do to help the process. Some may agree, some may disagree but since it’s my blog I’m going to state my opinion.

  1. Find a hobby, have you tried brushing up on your cooking skills? now is a great time. Girls/man love a someone who can cook up a good meal.
  2. Download dating sites on your phone, LOL! it’ll really put into perception that there are more fish in the sea.
  3. Spend more time with your friends and family. Take your little brother/sister on trips to Target. The toy aisle is a fun place!
  4. Hit the gym, get in the best shape of your life!
  5. Recognize things that you may need to work on, so that your next relationship can run more smoothly, Go to counseling sessions, practice being a better person.
  6. work on your car! or on buying a new one.
  7. Set goals, crazy ones, work on them every day, fuck what people think.
  8. Meditate if you need to, download HeadSpace and realize what a positive difference in your mood you will soon experience.
  9. Lastly, If you feel intensely depressed or even suicidal, I’m always here to talk, just send me a message. I can refer you to great people who will work with you and help you get healthy again.
  10. But hey DO NOT ever let it get that serious. Some people are not meant to be in our lives forever and for good reasons!

-Pregnancy and childbirth are beautiful yet vulnerable moments for every woman. Even the most attractive woman will feel inadequate and vulnerable during this time. A man’s job is to make her feel secure and loved especially during this phase of her life. A woman will never need you more than while she is carrying your child. She will always remember how she was treated by you when she most needed you. Men, be kind and gentle to the woman of our generation. We are constantly told by the media that we are not beautiful, that our bodies are far from perfect. We’ve had to fight for rights that should be given to every human. In the end, guess who was given the gift of creating life? We, the women. So learn to respect, and value us because we’re deserving in every way.

First off I would like to say, congratulations! On becoming a mother and accomplishing the greatest most extraordinary task of all, creating and giving birth to a whole new life. Pregnancy is no walk in the park for most mothers, including myself! We become mentally, and physically exhausted during this time. Growing and nourishing a tiny human inside of you is a beautiful experience but also a very selfless and draining act on every woman’s behalf.

Anyway, After that is done and you take your baby home, you begin to nitpick at your body and wow, the weight gain! How? I remember I could not wear the clothes I brought from home the day I had to leave the hospital, reason? They nowhere near fit my body. Honestly, though, I didn’t really care at all during those first days, months even. I was just focused on my baby and attending to her needs, breastfeeding and the only thing on my mind was what formula I would feed her.

-I will admit that the first year I did not exercise, I read on diastasis recti a condition you are probably familiar with if you’ve given birth recently. I believe I had a slight case of DS so I wanted to let my abdominal muscles heal first.  I also had no energy at all to be up and exercising, which was probably due to a lack of physical activity In the first place. ( I do not recommend) to take a year off exercise, get up and going as soon as you feel better.

Furthermore, when my daughter turned one, I went through Post Partum depression, something I can talk about only until now. This event was what pushed me to exercise, I signed up for the gym and made it a point to go every single day Monday-Friday. Exercise for me was what brought me back to life, slowly but surely I was me again. It was a very long journey but I don’t believe I would have had recovered as fast or as well as I did without consistent physical activity.

The reason I am sharing this intro is that I want to make clear, that all moms have a difficult time settling back into exercising or even beginning a consistent workout routine… Not just me or you. It’s very easy to give up because of the demands of everyday life. I still take a break every time I’m dealing with too much, and that’s okay as long as you get back on the train when you feel better.

My weight loss routine after baby and safety;


  1. Stay hydrated, drink at least eight, 8-ounce glasses of water a day.
  2. Don’t take over the counter diuretic pills to lose water weight, these can do a lot of harm to your body, including nerve damage and stop your heart.
  3. start with controlling your grocery store run, in order to not eat incredibly unhealthy processed food make it a point to not have it available for you in the first place.
  4. Try meal prepping it might work for you, (didn’t work for me) I will do it for a month then stop lol
  5. Start by walking around your local park or neighborhood. If you have a treadmill use it, your joints will be sore because of the hormone secretions, sleep deprivation, and constant movements that you perform to care for your baby.
  6. Eat a well-balanced breakfast every day, e.g. An avocado toast, with a milkshake, with almond milk and a handful of nuts.
  7. Eat small meals throughout the day, and homecooked foods over any foods.
  8. Uphill walks are the best for losing weight fast, I used the treadmill at the gym but you can use any uphill landscape.
  9. I recommend Sweet Sweat premium waist trimmer, along with the sweet sweat workout enhancer. I’ve tried many. This one wins hands down has you sweating like crazy.
  10. Take it one day at a time. Get sleep. lol! I know moms don’t sleep. But seriously try, your body will not lose weight if you constantly produce stress hormones like cortisol.

These steps are steps I’ve taken to keep healthy and at a healthy weight. I struggle with eating healthy like everyone else, I hate going to the gym some days, I don’t find time to work out other days. Fitness and weight loss is an everyday struggle that you have with yourself every day. Healthy eating and exercise are not only for your outward appearance but primarily for your mental health, and so that your body runs and works properly so that you are able to be the best version of you for your kids. Get Rid Of Acne For Good.

What’s that thing on your face?! Oh, just ACNE. How can little bumps with no power that pop up on top and under your skin make you feel so depressed? If acne doesn’t bother you congrats you are one tough cookie. However for the rest of us. It can literally make or break our entire day, even ruin our weekend plans. I know it sounds drastic, however, 96% of people struggling with this skin condition report to feeling depressed, not at all like their ‘best self’. Fun fact it is estimated that over 60 million people in the US have acne, 20% have such severe acne that it scars and damages the skin.

Even though I have not always had the luck of clear skin, especially in my teens, junior and senior year of high school for example really kicked my skins butt, ( lol if your skin had a butt tho) I remember spending all my money at CVS, Target, Walgreens, Clinique, Proactive. I just wanted those pesky pimples off my face, for good!!!

I spent hours reading up on skin. Article after article, I tried a thousand products and still…there it was in the morning right in the middle of my eyebrows a big, cystic pimple that hurt like hell! especially the ones that come out on the corners of your mouth or chin, those little b*** hurt! I was done, I had had it! I was willing to trade in my car for clear skin at this point!(didn’t actually do it) I’m just keeping it real, My make up wouldn’t look flawless, I felt self-conscious. I stayed in, heck I missed prom over this and no it really wasn’t that serious! I think when you are younger, things get to you more because you’re just not that mentally strong and insecurea about everything.

So WHAT finally healed my skin FOR GOOD??

I owe the health of my skin to PMD (microdermabrasion) , Secondly, to giving up sugar and fast food for the most part.

Lastly, to learning about my skin type and what products are actually good for my skin.

Listen, people, your skin produces dead skin cells, a lot of dead skin cells every day. when they are not properly removed, they clog your pores. Of course, hormones are to blame as well, but a big factor is keeping the top surface of your skin as free of dead skin cells as possible. This way topical acne medicines will actually target a pimple and kill p-acnes( acne-causing bacteria).

There are countless products that claim to do this at the pharmacy store, however, the one that will actually remove this layer of the skin will be something like a chemical peel, or microdermabrasion.

How many treatments, until my skin started clearing up? at one treatment per two weeks, for 4 months and one treatment/month at 6 months for maintenance.

The first Four months were gruesome, It’s like my skin purged all the acne for the rest of my life that it had in it! lol, beautiful mental picture! I got the worse of the worse for those four months. After that beautiful clear skin with an occasional pimple around my period.

These days I use my PMD once every six months but I don’t break out at all.

I love having beautiful, clear skin! and I don’t take it for granted.

Well, there you have it! I believe this is the way for most to clear skin when NOTHING else works. Of course, speak to your dermatologist before microdermabrasion to make sure that it is suitable for you! Have a great day! xoxo.


Two Faced Lip Injection Extreme vs. Glam Glow Plumprageous extreme lip Plumper (Matt),

This will be a short and sweet post.

On my recent trip to Sephora I tried a couple different lip plumpers, Including Glam Glow plumprageous extreme lip plumper Matt, and of course, theTwo faced Lip injection extreme.

Glam glow Plumprageous extreme-  There are two types of this lip plumper, includes a glossy one and the a matte formulation. It doesn’t burn as much as the Two faced, however, I did not find it to match up with Two faced lip injection extreme. If you do not like pain, I recommend this one. If you are okay with a little stinging and burning for a while I def recommend the Two-faced lip plumper for better results.

This lip plumper is a favorite in my make up collection, I don’t like the gloss so I pat it dry but the results are still prominent after hours without a new application. It does sting and burns as previously mentioned, however, the results are long-lasting and it does what it claims.

April Favorites 2018.



Spring is here! My second favorite season! Flowers are blooming, beautiful blue skies, perfect sunlight, fresh air after April showers, and it’s just the perfect introduction to Summertime. Just like we all do spring cleaning in April (not) I also like to update and organize my beauty routine, and products.

Today’s blog purpose is to share my favorite beauty finds of April, I will give you the good, and give you the not so good about each and every one of these hyped products. I will work on including dupes in my next favorites blog that are more affordable than most of the products I will be talking about today, I do believe that expensive isn’t always better.

Let’s get started!

  1. ST. TROPEZ self-tan “Dark” Bronzing mousse



  • Even looking beautiful glowing skin tone
  • It has no bad smell to it, like most tan mousses
  • it is easy to apply and mistake friendly
  • the best tan out there you can apply on your own


  • expensive
  • need to buy the applicator for extra 6$ to get the best application

Conclusion: This self-tan is easy to apply, looks beautiful, and you can use it for multiple applications. The ST. Tropez line has different tan intensities to choose from, A bit expensive but worth the money.



2. camera. LASHE’S by  “Tarte”



  • No clumps
  • lightweight
  • lifts lashes
  • curls
  • volume
  • lenghtens


  • difficult to take off
  • would like it to be a richer black

Conclusion: Worth the money, however, you need a good makeup remover.

3. Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Bamlm



  • Super moisturizing! IDC how chapped your lips are, this stuff will have your lips at its healthiest possible consistently throughout your day, regardless of the weather.
  • I’ve been using it for over 7 years and I have not found something better
  • If you are prone to cold sores, this balm will keep your lips so healthy cold sores will become a thing of the past.
  • It smells amazingly minty
  • it is not sticky
  • it is a golden throw in my bag item!
  • it lasts for ages, because a little goes a long way
  • also comes in tube packaging


  • At aroung 8$ a container, a bit on the pricier side for a lip balm.

Conclusion: This stuff is Golden, Its the best of its kind, If you are having serious issues finding a chapstick/lip balm that will work guaranteed, look no further.

4. Pearly Girl by Tarte on the go whitening pen




  • Cruelty free
  • vegan
  • Bleach free
  • works
  • whitens
  • easy to carry
  • throw in your bag


  • expensive/
  • dollar store whitening pen does the same job but contains bleach.

Conclusion: love that it has no harmful chemicals and safe if swallowed. Dislike the price at 22$

5.Carols Daughter weightless hair mask



  • It does what it says
  • weightless
  • deep moisturizes hair
  • can be found for cheaper at soters like TJ mask, Ross, Marshall’s


  • No cons, love all Carols daughter products.

Conclusion: Love.

6.Tend Skin solution.DSC01526


  • Removes any small bumps you might have on your body
  • works fast
  • prevents razor bumps or even bumps not caused by razor
  • for women and men
  • prevents acne and inflamed skin after shaving for men

Cons: Expensive at over 15$$ you can find it at its cheapest price at Target.


My Skin Care Routine

First off, Hello! and welcome to my blog. One of the messages I most often get on social media is, ” What is your skin care routine?” Coincidentally it is also one of my favorite questions to ask other people! lol Every time I see someone with beautiful, glowing, healthy looking skin, I’m never too shy to ask! And neither should you. let me break it down into simple to follow guidelines;

1. Beauty begins on the inside, Let me just repeat that, BEAUTY BEGINS ON THE INSIDE, your skin is like a mirror to… you guessed it,your insides! lol yes sounds a bit weird but do you follow? Your skin literally is a reflection of your overall body system functions. So to get healthier on the inside, I hate to say it but you’re going to have to put in some work! Includes; eating healthy, drinking tons of water, getting at least your eight hours of sleep, pampering yourself at least once a week. Basically taking care of you! because yes you so deserve it!

2. Finding products that are right for you. What is your skin type? oily,dry, combination? Figure this part out before making your way to the beauty isles at Target and do yourself a favor! Using the wrong products will only prolong topical skin irritations, or make them worse. Need help predetermining your skin type? shoot me a message.

3. If all else fails, meaning you have tried every product out there, which you probably haven’t but are just tired of trying shit at this point, Look into homeopathic skin care remedies. Like, turmeric powder, rose water, tulsi powder to name a few. Never underestimate the power of plants, Mother nature already gave us the cure to everything, it is now up to us to make some discoveries!

Finally For the part you have all been waiting for, lol I joke. My skin care routine.

  1. I drink lots of water, hardly ever do I drink anything else.
  2. I exercise, use the sauna at the gym as often as I can ( i’m a mom, I get it this part is hard).
  3. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS use sunblock or sunscreen. Yes ALWAYS. AlWAYS. Okay, I forget sometimes, but I make it the most important step to my skin care routine.
  4. I don’t try to save money on skin care. lol YES! I do..actually. Best places to find good skin care, Marshall’s, TJ max, Ross, your pantry – don’t forget about the power of plants! You can find a bunch of high end skin care for almost half the price at these stores here in the US!
  5. I always take off my make up and cleanse my skin morning and night with a cleanser that balances my skin’s ph levels.
  6. If your skin is too oily it could be because its actually too dry so it produces more oil to compensate and try to balance itself out, so try and oil cleanser, skin care is all about balancing your skin ph because only then can your skin work on being healthy.

7.I am a fan of micro- dermabrasion , I save tons of money by doing my own    treatments with this little wand, personal PMD.
